Every one of us waits anxiously for our birthday when all our family, friends and well-wishers gather to greet us with heart-warming
wishes and present us with valuable or inexpensive gifts. But, unknown to many of us, there are many children who never get an opportunity to attend any such celebrations, let alone celebrating their own birthday. One such child is a 9 years old girl, Sana Khaliq who is suffering from Thalassemia Major, being treated at Fatimid Foundation. Her most cherished wish was materialized by Make-A-Wish Foundation Pakistan when a bashing birthday party was arranged for this pretty princess in which her family and friends were sent birthday invitations on behalf of our birthday girl, Sana. She received many gifts including a birthday dress with matching shoes.
Sana could not believe her eyes and she joyfully cut the delicious chocolate cake, blowing all the nine candles together. Her eyes shone like hundreds of stars in the sky put together. Moreover, she received so many gifts from Make-A-Wish Foundation Pakistan and it was truly a moment of a life-time for her. Our respected guests, Mr Sultan Chawla, President of FPCCI and Ms Suzanne Harville of the US Consulate and our volunteers sang melodious birthday songs for the wish child, thus altering the entire ambience to a pleasurable experience of joy and happiness for Sana.
