Make A Wish Foundation Pakistan granted the wish of a 16-year-old boy Waqas Shafiq, who longed to possess a
bicycle. Waqas is a young boy suffering from Thalassemia Major, receiving treatment from Fatimid Foundation. Waqas used to see people traveling to their work and children riding around on their bicycles. Due to their financial constraint, Waqas’s family could not afford to buy him a bicycle.Make A Wish Foundation Pakistan having realized that Waqas’s innermost wish was to have a bicycle of his own granted his wish which was presented to him by Jam Madad Ali, opposition leader of Sindh Assembly at a special wish-granting ceremony. Waqas was very excited and his happiness knew no bounds that day. He was completely astonished as this wish granting ceremony came as a huge surprise for him.
He thanked all the volunteers and staff of Make-A-Wish Foundation Pakistan and exclaimed joyfully that he can now go out with his friends and give them long rides on his new bicycle.
