Make-A-Wish Foundation Pakistan

Make-A-Wish^® Foundation Pakistan granted the wish of 15 years old terminally ill child suffering from cancer Abdul Basit who wished to be a Soldier.

Make-A-Wish^® Foundation Pakistan made it possible by requesting the Chief of Army Staff to fulfill Basit’s wish even for a day. Gen. Ashfaq Kiyani took special interest and allowed the young patriotic to become a Soldier for a day and spend time in Army Unit on Independence Day. Basit put on the uniform and reported to the unit of the Punjab Regiment at Malir Cantt.

Basit made history when he became youngest Pakistan Army Soldier for a day on the occasion of the 63rd Independence Day of Pakistan.

After spending a day with the Soldiers of the unit Basit said that his lifetime dream to join Pakistan Army has come true and he cherished every minute spent with the Soldiers. He thanked Make A Wish^® Pakistan for making his dream come true.
